Seoul world make
The Air Max 1 ‘86 World Make edition showcases a blend of natural, earthy tones along with bold black accents. The heritage model celebrates artisanal Korean craft like Jiseung, a traditional cording and twining technique made from paper.
Constructed with a blend of hemp, tumbled leather, and woven textile, the shoe provides a multi-textured appeal. Tan shades dominate the hemp toe box and collar, while the textile midfoot panel, tongue, and heel display a two-tone white and tan finish. Soft cotton laces appear below the hemp tongue tag featuring classic Air Max branding, tying the upper together.
Inspired by the stark color palette of the traditional Jiseung craft and contemporary references from the exhibit Monochrome Monologue celebrating Korean artistry.
Details include a cork insole with graphics that reference these traditional techniques.
